Thirty Year Anniversary for CompanyMay 2011
Goom Landscapes are proudly celebrating 30 years of business, shaping New Zealand with creative, innovative and practical landscape architectural design, construction and planting.
Our Anniversary celebrations come at a pivotal time for us as we deal with the aftermath of the Christchurch Earthquake. While the company itself and its staff were thankfully largely untouched by that awful event, there is major damage and disruption to outdoor spaces that people strongly connect with as part of their sense of 'place'.
Hence Goom Landscapes team has been very active in repair work around the region.
"While our reputation is built on the spaces we have created over the past 30 years, the next 30 years will see a completely different set of challenges", says General Manager and Director Roger Martin. "The earthquake has altered peoples attitudes towards their living environment and values", he says. "We have an unprecedented opportunity to be part of the Christchurch and Canterbury recovery and to make a positive difference for generations to come. That's something we are all very excited about" |
