Vincent Pooch
Chairman and Director
Vincent joined the Goom Landscapes team in 2009 as an independent Director and Chairman of the Board.
Vincent first qualified as an engineer (NZCE Mechanical) and started his career in the road transport industry. The finance industry then attracted him and he started down the path to further studies, including qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA).
In 1992 Vincent established what is today the firm of Key Business Partners Limited which capitalised on an opportunity to provide customers a high quality, customised service, driven not by ‘deals’ but by relationships.
Vincent’s areas of expertise are:
• corporate strategy
• business analysis and financing
• business valuation
• infrastructure businesses such as ports, electricity and resources
• transport and logistics
Vincent is a Director of Port Otago Limited and its subsidiary Chalmers Properties Limited. As well as Goom Landscapes, Vincent is Chairman of Southern Hospitality Limited and was also a Trustee of Burnside High School for 10 years as well as holding a number of other Governance positions.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (Inc) and an Associate Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
Outside work, Vincent is a keen mountain biker, rogainer and adventurer. He has competed many times in the Speights Coast to Coast, The Gold Rush, The Round Taupo and other events. Notable other achievements include sinking his unbreakable Kevlar kayak in the Pike River in Fiordland.
