We manage the chaos of landscaping into orderly steps, leaving you time for everything else.

8 simple steps to your new lifespace™

The landscape you surround yourself with should enrich your way of life. Complementing who you are and the lifestyle you lead.

We believe that creating your own unique lifespace™ should be easy. This is why we developed a complete service to take the hassle out of it for you. Our DMC (design, manage, construct) process ensures that your project is finished to an exceptional standard, on time and on budget.

Below is a sample timeline of what you can expect from our DMC process. We imagine and create, while you sit back and enjoy.

Our Process
1
Onsite Meeting with Tim Goom

To understand what kind of environment you would like to create, we always start with an initial onsite consultation with our director, Tim Goom. This meeting focuses on getting to know more about your site and your needs, so we can work out the best way to help you. After this conversation, if your project sounds like something we can help with, Clare will deliver a design proposal for the scope of work we discussed, this will outline the cost to design and price up your project.

2
Concept Design

Once you have accepted our design proposal we move onto developing the vision for your property. Tim will meet with you again to introduce the Landscape Architect (LA) that you will be working with, then the fun begins. Combining your dreams, preferences and site requirements with our designer’s impressive brains, we draw up a concept design for your ideal lifespace™. The design may include reference images and 3D modeling to give you a feel for what the finished space will look like in relation to your home. Mark our Q.S, then prices this design up to provide you with a clear indication of the cost to build it.

3
Present Design to You

Your designer and project manager meet with you at our office to present your concept design, along with the feasibility budget pricing for its construction. In this meeting, we discuss your thoughts on the design and corresponding pricing and gather feedback. After this meeting, your designer will incorporate your feedback and tweak your design and budget to reflect this. This stage of the design process is very flexible, as we know it can take some back and forth to arrive at a design and construction cost that works for you.

4
Finalise Design

Once you are happy with your concept design and corresponding budget, we then move on to developed design. This is where we define the exact materials, colours and finishes for your project and create a fixed quote for its construction. Your construction date that was penciled in during the concept design stage is then locked in. Behind the scenes, we hold an internal handover to run through your project with the designer, project manager and foreman running your job to determine the most efficient plan of attack.

5
Commence Construction

You are introduced to the foreman that will be running your project, they set up their materials, and get straight into it! Throughout construction, your designer and project manager will regularly check on progress and keep you updated. Other than that, you can just sit back and watch the magic unfold.

6
Planting your Lifespace™

After the hard structures in your lifespace™ are complete, it is planted up to bring your new landscape to life.

7
Lifespace™ Completion

Once your foreman has packed up and cleaned your site, we handover the project to you and celebrate with a beer in your new Lifespace™. The focus of this handover is to run through your feedback – to ensure that you are happy with the completed standard of your project and your overall experience.

8
Maintaining your Lifespace™

To ensure that your lifespace™ reaches its full potential as it grows and matures, we also offer a flexible maintenance service, ranging from weekly to seasonally – depending on your gardens requirements & your needs.

Horticultural consultations

As gardens grow and plants reach the end of their lifespan your planting may need some refreshing.

Getting a fresh pair of eyes to look over your garden can help resolve planting gaps that you have, and provide you with new ideas that can update your landscape.

Our director, Tim, can meet you onsite for a free plant consultation to discuss your garden and any changes that you would like to make. After this conversation with you, if the scope of works is simple we can go straight to quote, or if it requires more design than initially thought, Tim will advise you during the consult, then outline the next steps.

Design as you go

Small works can make a big difference

As well as designing & building landscapes from scratch, we can also help you with smaller projects that will make a big difference to the enjoyment of your garden.

This might be building a retaining wall, laying some artificial turf, adding a bit of decking or creating a planting plan.

If you would like to see how we can help, Tim, our director, can meet you onsite for a free consultation to discuss your requirements. Once we determine the scope for your project & work out the best plan of attack, we can put together a quote for you. Then your transformation begins.

Guidance for visiting our offices from 20 December 2021

The health, safety and wellbeing of our People (staff, clients, and their families) is our top priority during the COVID 19 pandemic.

From 20 December 2021, Goom Landscapes requires all clients, suppliers, and visitors to our offices to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.

We are implementing this policy because we believe it is the right path to take to keep our People safe at work.  Vaccinations enable us to move safely into an environment with fewer restrictions for businesses, our communities and each of us personally.

What this means for you
